"Curtain call" is part of the series “Home is where the heart is”, inspired by old family portraits. “Home” stands for: to take a look back and to put one's own history in the spotlight in search of universal validity. Rediscovered things find their new place in the picture space. Apparently domestic idylls, landscape-like picture spaces with special details of unformulated memories and awkwardly colored templates for coloring books are in an unspecified, dissolving scenario. They are memories or visions that are not tied to time and place and are converted into general statements regardless of their historicity. Images as storage, archive: selected, re-sorted and saved, which creates space for your own associations. (oil on canvas or cardboard)
